Studio Owner & Instructor
Marla began practicing yoga in 2005 and has experimented with a variety of disciplines including Ashtanga, Shakti Flow, Jivamukti, and Bikram. In 2015, she completed her 200-hour teacher training with the goal of sharing the grace, peace, and joy that yoga has brought to her life with her students. Marla is also trained to teach yoga to students who have suffered traumatic brain injuries. In 2017, she received her certification as an Ayurveda Yoga Specialist from the Himalayan Institute and completed a 300-hour teacher training program. Also in 2017, Marla completed the Yin Yoga Teacher Training Foundations Module with Josh Summers.
Marla's classes encourage increased flexibility and strength as well as the quieting of the mind through pranayama and guided meditation. She strives to help students connect with their inner strength, power, and potential. In her Yoga Boot Camp classes, Marla combines her love of yoga with her other fitness pursuits to give students a unique experience that blends traditional yoga poses with strength training and cardio drills. During the summer, Marla teaches Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga classes on the Contoocook River with the intention of challenging her students to move slower and with intention while having fun!
Marla offers workshops and private consultations in Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga.
When she is not practicing yoga, Marla enjoys being active, cooking, and spending time with friends and family (especially her beloved dogs, Darby and Lucky). She is also a partner at the boutique estate planning firm of Myskowski & Matthews, PLLC.
