Tammy has been a long time fitness instructor with a passion for health and wellness since her early teens. Her interest in fitness eventually led her to a yoga class and she was simply hooked for life. She felt irresistibly drawn to gain a deeper understanding of the practice of yoga.
She knew she loved it and wanted to share it which led to her beginning her teacher training in 2010. The 200 hour course involved learning the basics of the 8-limb practice and how best to teach. The 500 hour course caused her to delve deep inside her soul to learn more about herself, which helped in her practice and teachings. It was an amazing journey of self discovery!
In 2007 she had back surgery that had left her disabled for many months. Without knowing if she would ever return to normal, yoga has saved her from the long term damage of that experience. Her practice of yoga was her salvation and anchor during that traumatic time, both in a physical and spiritual sense. Her goal is to teach a merging of postures, exploration and to encourage students to find that place where the pose just feels good.
