Kundalini Yoga is a way to exercise your mind, body and spirit.
It enables you to reach a higher state of awareness, emotional stability and strength by using several techniques. 
These include pranayama (breathing exercises), kriyas (exercise sets), meditation, bhandas (body locks), mudras (gestures), mantras (chanting words) and visualization.
These Kundalini Yoga techniques raise the apana (energy you give out) to connect to the prana (energy you take in) in order to align your chakras (points of energy centers.)
This allows you to reach a higher consciousness and understanding, while being fit and healthy.

A Sound Bath is a meditative practice - a journey through sound to the self.
Participants rest in a relaxed, reclined pose - like in savashana (corpse pose) - and are bathed by the healing sounds and vibrations of instruments like crystal singing bowls, drums, and chimes. 
This practice can have positive effects on the mind, body, and spirit. 
We recommend that you wear comfortable and warm clothes.

Astrology 101 Birth Chart

This is an in person workshop for anyone interested in learning more about astrology.

During this group event, Micayla will talk about the basics of astrology: the signs and the planets. She will bring each participant a copy of their own personalized birth chart to reference during the event.
Learn the basics of the big three: sun, moon and rising and what it means to have each sign in those three placements.
This is an opportunity to listen and learn as well as ask questions and collaborate. It’s also a fun way to bring a group of people together as well as learn individually in a group.

Breathwork is a powerful healing practice rooted in ancient spiritual wisdom and proven by cutting-edge research. The power of your breath along with sound healing instruments will guide you to soothe your nervous system, clear out any emotional blockages, and awaken your intuition for effortless clarity and confidence going into the new year.

The breathwork we’ll use is a relaxing three-part pattern of pranayama and breath holds, which focuses on harmonizing, optimizing, and healing your body’s systems holistically. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or new to breathwork, this class offers a safe space to connect with your breath, reset your energy, and access inner healing.

At this workshop, you will:
-Nourish your mind, body, and soul for the winter season, shaking off any holiday stress and toning your nervous system.
-Reflect on your intentions and goals through guided journaling prompts and facilitated community discussion. 
-Experience a breathwork journey paired with sound healing instruments (crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and more).
-Align your subconscious in support of your goals through guided visualization exercises. 
-Learn the mechanics of breathwork practices that you can use at home for years to come.

Note: There are some health conditions that will require augmented breathing instructions, this will be discussed at the beginning of class but please reach out to iris@rarefortune.co with any questions. Please bring a notebook and writing utensil for reflective exercises that will aid you in going deeper.

-How to use Reiki to reduce and eliminate stress, tension and pain.
-The relationship of the chakras and aura in the body.
-The History of Reiki.
