Vin-Yin Yoga

This hybrid practice seemlessly blends the invigorating and active practice of Vinyasa yoga with the passive and meditative practice of Yin yoga.
Begin with an energetic flow of coordinated movement and breath.
Build endurance and strength as you drop out of your head and into your body, generating a meditative state that encourages you to let go of thought and invites you to be in the present moment. Yoga for Hypermobility Workshop
Saturday May 16
11:30 am- 1 pm
with Alex Schmitt, Yoga Instructor
Have you been diagnosed with a hypermobility disorder, work with hypermobile yoga students, or are you just curious to know what "hypermobility" is all about? This workshop is for you!
Come celebrate Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD) and Ehler Danlos Syndrome (EDS) Awareness Month this May by learning more about these conditions, how to safely modify your own yoga practice if you have a hypermobile body, or, if you are an instructor, how to support your hypermobile students.
Alex will provide a brief introduction to HSD and EDS and practical tips and takeaways for modifying the physical practice of yoga for a hypermobile body and for teaching hypermobile students. She will then lead a hypermobility-sensitive yoga class suitable for all levels of yoga experience, including instruction on how to utilize props to support and stabilize your practice. Class will conclude with a relaxing guided meditation to invite acceptance of ourselves and our bodies just as they are.
Alex is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, certified sound healer, and reiki practitioner. Alex is not a medical professional and cannot diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice to folks with HSD or EDS; however, she brings a wealth of lived experience as a person with EDS. Yoga has been a tremendous source of strength, grounding, and peace during Alex's chronic health journey and she is eager to share how this practice can benefit others with hypermobility disorders.

Candlelit Restorative Yoga
POP UP
Friday May 29
6-7 pm
with Sara Withers, Yoga Instructor
Restorative yoga is a gentle and passive practice that invites you into a state of deep relaxation, rejuvenation and healing.
Designed to support your mind and body in a state of rest and renewal through long held poses, this class emphasizes stillness, comfort and deep breathing. We offer the use of blankets & bolsters which play a key role in creating this deepened sense of comfort and ease.
Once you are settled in, the intention is to tap into your parasympathetic nervous system, often called the “rest and digest” state, where your body feels safe and begins to heal itself.
Breathing and heart rate slow down, blood pressure decreases and body functions regulate, making way for deep healing on a physical and emotional level.
Appropriate for all levels of experience.
Use class passes, memberships or drop in for only $20.

Once settled in, meditation is accompanied by the soothing sounds of crystal singing bowls, the gong and other instruments meant to support your journey and inner healing through. Allow sound and vibration to deepen your experience into relaxation and simply being, just as you are.
All levels of experience are welcome.

Currents of Calm
A SOUNDBATH REMEMBERING LORI ANN NOORDERGRAAF
1969-2026
Sunday June 7
2-3 pm
with Donna Baker, Sound Healer & Reiki Practitioner and
Sarah Lane, Instructor & Reiki Master
Remembering Lori Ann Noordergraff
Lori was a joy to have in the studio and to share yoga with. Her bright light lit up the room and her sense of adventure and joy was felt by many of us here at Blossom, students and instructors alike.
Lori and her spirit animal…
Outside of her professional life, Lori embraced adventure and joy. She was an avid motorcyclist, traveler, and a second-degree black belt in karate. She had a deep love for sharks, which she affectionately called her “spirit animal.” From coffee mugs and clothing to water bottles and yoga mats, sharks were a constant and joyful presence in her life. She was also a devoted Discovery Channel Shark Week enthusiast and was proud to have watched every season since its inception.
One of her greatest joys in recent years was participating in shark research expeditions on Andros Island in the Bahamas with her husband Alex. In lieu of flowers, Lori requested that donations be made to Saving the Blue- Shark Research Center, a non profit organization on Andros.
In that spirit, all proceeds from this offering will be donated directly to Saving the Blue in loving memory of Lori.
Saving the Blue is in the process of creating a welcoming and inclusive shark research station that is a space for students to learn and grow and for our educational outreach and research to make a significant and meaningful difference in the name of marine conservation. Lori valued Saving the Blue’s work and was excited about the research station. All donations made will directly contribute towards this project.
About the event:
Join us for an ocean-inspired sound bath where waves of soothing frequencies wash gently over mind, body and spirit. Crystal singing bowls, chimes and other healing instruments are played like the rhythmic tide; each note inviting you to soften, release, and return to your natural flow. Guided by a calming meditation, you’ll be carried through tranquil waters floating between breath and sound, stillness and sensation.
As you rest in this sacred space, you may choose to deepen your journey with optional Reiki, allowing subtle energy to move like currents beneath the surface restoring balance, ease, and inner harmony.
Space is limited and pre registration is required.
A minimum donation of $30 is requested, if you would like to learn or donate more you may do so directly through this link:
